Oak Street, Phoenix

Overlooking the hills of Papago Park, this 1960s home was a perfect candidate for a major remodel.

Donna Brann Interiors

Just loved working on this spec home with a developer. We kept the mid-century vintage feel of the home and keep some of the unique features like a few of the slump block walls. All of the tile in a blue palette. Painted the door a bright teal. Staged the house very hip and cool. The buyer wanted to buy the furnishings. I drive by this house every week and I still love looking at it.
The master bedroom was doubled in size by removing the wall between the existing bedroom and an outdoor-only accessible laundry and storage room, resulting in a master sitting room and new walk-in closet as well as a larger gorgeous shower.
The gorgeous flat front wood grain cabinets in the kitchen are repeated in the bathrooms. The brass mid-century modern lighting works perfectly with the brass hardware, mirrors, geometric tile and bath faucets. The luxury vinyl plank flooring works perfectly with the cabinets and the flagstone.

Creation of an urban garden in the backyard takes your eye away from the large retaining wall and makes you feel like you are on the patio of a hip trendy restaurant.
The Donna Brann team staged the home so perfectly that the homeowner purchased a large portion of the furniture. The home was under contract before it hit MLS thanks to Jody Meyers, the HomeSmart real estate agent who found the home and was also actively involved the remodel decisions. (Birds with Crowns…I love this cute guys!)
